This hike started at the top of Kingsbury Grade and ended at Spooner Summit. The 14 mile hike was relatively easy, though there are several areas that are very rocky. The occasional panoramic views are unmatched.

This was my first time at a Romance Writers of America Conference. It was a four day event in Atlanta. There were 2,000 members in attendance. I would highly recommend the event to anyone who is thinking about going. There were dozens of workshops to choose from and some of my favorites included: Writing Sex and Writing it Well, The Serial Killer Next Door, and Focus on Amazon.

We thought we were going to complete hike five of the Rim Trail and ended up taking a wrong turn which lead us on to the upper Armstrong Pass trail. It was a steady incline for the first mile, then a gradual downhill for the next eight miles. It was a better mountain biking trail than hiking trail. There were a few scenic spots, but for the most part it was deep in the woods with a dusty, rocky path. Bring the bug spray, lots of flies!DSCN0242DSCN0234DSCN0169

Le Rue Press will be having the annual event, Authors & Artists with Attitude, Saturday, July 13, 10-5 at 280 Greg Street #10, Reno. Stop by and I will personally sign one or all of books for you.

This hike started at Tahoe Meadows and ended at Tunnel Creek. It was a total of 12.7 miles with a moderate level of difficulty. Spectacular views of the Lake Tahoe on one side and of Washoe Lake on the other. Be prepared to take lots of photos!
