2015 Northern Nevada Go Red For Women Luncheon
February 13, 2015 10:00 AM | Friday
As we approach the 11th annual Go Red For Women luncheon in northern Nevada, I would like to thank everyone for their generous and ongoing support. The American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women campaign was designed to raise awareness about women and heart disease. In addition to helping our community improve their heart health, the funds we raise support vital research and community awareness of our country’s #1 killer of women–cardiovascular disease.
I am thrilled to chair the Luncheon this year, as I have watched the Go Red For Women movement capture the energy, passion and intelligence of women to work collectively to wipe out heart disease. Go Red engages women–and the men who love them– to embrace the cause, and I am proud to be a part of it. The luncheon will be held February 13, 2015 at the Atlantis. Once again we will create an informative atmosphere to encourage women to take care of their heart and be health champions at work and home.
On behalf of the volunteers and staff who work tirelessly to achieve the American Heart Association’s mission of building healthier lives, I invite you to join me in the fight against heart disease in women. Please show your support by becoming a sponsor, attending the luncheon or volunteering in our efforts.
Today from 4-7 I will be signing copies of my new book, Love, Stimulating Trivia & Other Arousing Bits at Epiphany Fine Jewelry & Design on Kingsbury Grade in Stateline. Have any jewelry that you would like to have restrung? Bring it by and Epiphany’s master stringer will do it right there. I will have my Lake Tahoe photographs available for purchase a special, reduced price. Come by for a glass of champagne and take home a signed copy of my book.
